A dental student should be able to find the right subject quickly, read with a purpose and link theory to a real patient record. iDentist.Live gives every student a free workspace: a year-wise library, a knowledge base with practice, and study time you can see.
Textbooks grouped by BDS year, MDS and PhD; chapter guides you can search, bookmark and listen to; self-check questions and flashcards; subjects saved for offline; and a weekly study-time graph. The student workspace — library, knowledge base, practice and study time — is free.
Organised by your year
The library groups textbooks by BDS year, MDS and PhD, with search and filters that work well even on a phone. Books open inside the app — a few pages at a time — so there is nothing to download and lose.
The aim is not to replace your university syllabus. It is to make good study material easy to find, revisit and discuss with your teachers.

A knowledge base you can study with
Chapters are arranged by programme, year and subject. You can search titles and headings, bookmark what matters, and have a chapter read aloud — the sentence being read is highlighted, so you can follow along.
Download a whole subject before a trip or an exam week, and it works with no internet at all.

Practise honestly — no marks, no pressure
Each chapter has self-check questions: think the answer through, then compare with the key points. Key-point flashcards help you remember: say honestly whether you knew it — “Know it” moves the card further away, “Not yet” brings it back tomorrow.
Nothing is scored or ranked. Practice is for learning, not for a certificate.
See your study time
Your profile shows how long you studied, a seven-day graph, and which subjects and chapters you spent time on. It helps you notice a subject you have been avoiding — and plan the week ahead.

From a chapter to a clinical question
Reading alone is rarely enough. Pick a chapter, write the patient question it helps answer, and try it on a made-up case. The clinic’s patient file in the demo shows how a dentist records a tooth (in FDI numbers), a finding, a procedure, an X-ray and a follow-up — a useful order to practise your thinking in. Real clinical decisions always need supervision.
A 30-minute study routine
- Pick one year, subject and chapter.
- Ten minutes: read and write down the key ideas.
- Ten minutes: apply them to a made-up patient complaint; find the tooth on the FDI chart if needed.
- Ten minutes: explain the case in plain words, then do the chapter’s self-check and flashcards.
- End by writing what you would ask your supervisor before treating a real patient.
